Solar energy seminar

Solar energy will be the theme of a seminar for farmers and landowners being hosted by legal firm Stephens Scown and accountant Francis Clark.

Stephens Scown’s head of renewable energy, Sonya Bedford and Bob Meier, energy and sustainability senior manager for Francis Clark, will be the keynote speakers at the free event taking place at Kingsley Village on November 8 (6.30pm-9pm).

Businesses and individuals from across Cornwall interested in issues surrounding the opportunities from large-scale solar energy are expected to attend and will get an update on the Government’s Feed in Tariff (FiT) scheme and Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) banding.

The speakers will talk about the Mole Valley Farmers solar PV test site as an exemplar project and attendees will hear about small solar parks and get the lowdown on what to look for and what issues to consider, as well as receive tips for success from the experts.
