Located in the heart of Cornwall's beautiful south coast, St Austell is the latest town to be featured in our new "spotlight on." section which showcases different areas of Cornwall. The aim is to bring you news of regeneration projects both leisure and commercial and provide the latest on exciting new workspace developments.
Business Premises
Investment in
employment space across the whole county over the last few years
has resulted in incredibly high quality business accommodation
developments in St Austell. For example HRH The Duke of York
officially opened the new Brunel Business Park in February 2007.
The £4.78million office park provides high quality space in seven
units which are now available to let - these units are particularly
suited to businesses within the creative industries and ICT
sector. For more information on availability contact Vickery Holman.
In addition to the Brunel Business Park, work has now been completed on Cannis House a new Grade A detached 3 storey office building capable of division built to a high specification, situated in a high quality business environment. For more information on availability contact Prioity Sites.
Town Centre (now named White River Place)
Work is gathering pace on the £75million regeneration of St Austell
town centre. Contractors have already removed from site half of the
excavated material in preparation for the construction of the
underground car park and more interestingly to residents and
visitors, a whole host of new shops, bars, restaurants and modern
apartments. The new look town centre will also feature a
state-of-the-art four screen cinema which will be the first project
completed and due to be operational by the end of 2008.
St Austell Civic Pride
To complement the town centre redevelopment, work has started on
the £3.7million Civic Pride scheme led by Restormel Borough Council
and funded by the South West Regional Development Agency and
European Objective One. Phase one will see improvements to
footpaths, roadways, lighting, signage and landscaping the area
surrounding the Holy Trinity Church.
