Airport reception for Cornish business leaders

A networking event for Cornish business leaders was held at Newquay Cornwall Airport last week.  The evening was a joint initiative of Air Southwest and Newquay Cornwall Airport and was supported by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It provided an opportunity for more than 50 business people from across the county to view the airport's new executive lounge and receive an update on the airline's fast and convenient air links from Newquay to ten destinations across the UK and Ireland.

Earlier this year Air Southwest launched a new service to London City Airport. With a choice of up to six flights a day to London, the new business lounge is proving to be particularly useful for Air Southwest business passengers travelling to London City and Gatwick airports.

Newquay Cornwall Airport's executive lounge, which is open to all passengers with business tickets, provides comfortable and relaxed seating for up to 24 people together with work stations with broadband access and views across the runway.

Mike Coombes, Commercial Director of Air Southwest, said: "Reliable year-round air links are vital to the region's businesses, especially in these challenging economic times.  As Newquay Cornwall Airport's biggest operator, we were delighted to work with the airport to offer Cornwall Chamber members an opportunity to experience the excellent facilities now on offer at Newquay Cornwall Airport and learn more about how Air Southwest's route network and Business Plus service are putting the pleasure back into business travel."
