Falmouth Docks Celebrate 150 Years

From December 2 until the 30th of March 2011, Falmouth's National Maritime Museum will be charting 150 years of the role of the Falmouth Docks.

Visitors will be surrounded by photographs, models, films and paintings, which bring to life the stimulating history of the docks, while floor to ceiling windows will offer the opportunity to see the hustle and bustle of the docks at work today.

The longevity of the Falmouth Docks has shaped the history of Falmouth, while its support of the marine industry has been a vital component to the Cornish economy.
