Carbon Trust Interest Free Loans

The Carbon Trust Interest-free Loan scheme has been running successfully for some time. To demonstrate its commitment to CO2 reduction, the government has recently doubled the maximum amount of loan to £500k on energy saving equipment, and opened the scheme to non-SMEs.

The  loans are unsecured and interest free with no arrangement fees and a straightforward application process. Loans can be repaid over a period of up to four years and as the scheme is designed for energy savings to cover repayments, the loan will effectively pay for itself.
