The University of Plymouth has launched a Graduate Internship programme, creating short-term paid internships for graduates of any UK university or further education college who graduated during 2008 or 2009.  

By appointing an intern, businesses and organisations will gain help from a talented graduate to focus on a particular project or to take on specific responsibilities. The internships are also an opportunity to try out the potential of a graduate in consideration of long term career opportunities within the business.

The programme gives graduates the opportunity to enter a business, apply a range of skills, assume real responsibilities, make an impact and progress quickly into a successful professional.

The internships are open to 2008 and 2009 graduates across the following range of sectors / themes:

. Low carbon
. Digital industry
. Life sciences and pharmaceuticals
. Advanced manufacturing
. Professional and financial services
. Engineering construction
. Marine

To be eligible for funding interns must start their contract by the end of June 2010.
